Are you new to Spain or have recently moved to a new city? Do you often find it a headache to locate the official healthcare website? It’s really annoying when you’re trying to book a GP appointment or check some health information, and Google just gives you a ton of ads and irrelevant results.
I recently helped a friend compile a guide on using the Spanish healthcare website, so I decided to share it with everyone. These are the official portals for the healthcare services in each of Spain’s autonomous communities. I recommend bookmarking the one for your region—it will definitely come in handy! If you have a social security card, you can perform most actions directly on these sites.
Direct Links to Major Regions’ Healthcare Websites
I’ve put together a list of websites for some of the major regions, which you can access directly. Each region’s system has a different name, but their functions are more or less the same, primarily for Cita Previa (appointments), Consulta de datos (data consultation), and similar services.
- Madrid: The system is called Salud Madrid, and it’s quite user-friendly.
- Catalonia: Known as La Meva Salut, which means ‘My Health’—very straightforward.
- Andalusia: Their system is called ClicSalud+, and it has a relatively clear interface.
- Valencian Community: You can find the
Cita Previa portal directly on their health department’s website, GVA Sanitat.
