When I first arrived in Spain, one of the biggest challenges was figuring out where to buy medicine for minor illnesses. Going to a physical pharmacy can be tough if you don’t speak the language well, or sometimes they’re just out of the brand you need. I later discovered that Spain has a thriving online pharmacy scene that’s incredibly convenient. Today, I’m sharing a few of the websites I use regularly, hoping it can help others in need.

A Few of My Go-To Online Pharmacy Websites
Spain actually has a wide selection of online pharmacies, most of which are operated by brick-and-mortar stores, so you can shop with confidence regarding medical supply prices. In terms of pricing, they often have various discounts, making them much more affordable than physical stores. Delivery is also fast, with next-day delivery common in major cities.
PromoFarma
This is probably the most well-known online pharmacy platform in Spain. It’s not a single pharmacy but an aggregator that brings together thousands of physical pharmacies. The main advantage is its incredibly vast selection of brands and products; you can find almost any dermocosmetic, health supplement, mother and baby product, or daily care item you can think of. Because it compares prices from multiple pharmacies, the medicine price checks reveal a significant price advantage, and you can often find the lowest prices online. However, it’s worth noting that if your order includes items from different pharmacies, your medical supplies in Spain might be shipped in separate packages.
Atida | Mifarma
This is another very large online pharmacy, formerly known as Mifarma before being acquired by Atida. Their website has a clean interface and is exceptionally well-categorized, making it easy to find what you’re looking for. I personally love buying dermocosmetics from them, like brands ISDIN and MartiDerm, as they often have ‘buy one, get one free’ or ‘50% off the second item’ promotions. They also offer their own private label products, which are great value for money. Orders are typically delivered within 24/48 hours, which is very fast.
Farmacia en Casa
The name of this website is very straightforward—‘Pharmacy at Home’. Their standout feature is their excellent customer service. If you’re unsure what to buy, you can consult a pharmacist via online chat or phone, which is especially helpful for those who aren’t fluent in Spanish. While it might not be as large as the previous two, its selection of common medicines and health supplements is comprehensive. You can sometimes even find niche brands here that are unavailable elsewhere. Their prices are also competitive, making it a good option for comparison shopping.
A Quick Comparison
To give you a clearer overview, I’ve created a simple table comparing the features of these websites:
| Website | Key Advantages | Disadvantages | Best For |
| PromoFarma | Widest selection, great prices | Orders may arrive in multiple packages | People who love to compare prices and buy many different brands at once |
| Atida | Mifarma** | User-friendly, fast shipping, frequent promotions | Some items may not be the cheapest | Those who value a smooth shopping experience, fast delivery, and stocking up on dermocosmetics |
| Farmacia en Casa | Professional support, pharmacist consultation available | Relatively smaller scale | Individuals who have questions about products and need professional advice |
All of these websites are very reliable, so you can choose based on your specific needs. Of course, they all sell over-the-counter medicines and health/care products. For prescription medications, you must first see a doctor to get a prescription and then purchase it at a physical pharmacy. I hope this guide has been helpful!
