How to Request a Hepatitis B Test in Spain?
If you want to get tested, the process is actually quite simple. Book an appointment with your family doctor (médico de cabecera) and directly tell them you’d like to have a Hepatitis B test. The doctor will usually ask for a reason, which can be as simple as ‘I just want to confirm my health status’ or ‘because of a family history of the condition.’ Once the doctor understands the situation, they will give you a referral. You then take this referral to the designated analysis center or hospital for a blood draw.
