I recently had my annual check-up, which involved several blood draws. The doctor said I’d get a text when the results were ready, but I never received one. In the past, I’d have to make another trip to the hospital just to print them out, which was a real hassle. Then, a friend told me that many regional health systems now let you check your reports online. I looked into it, and it’s incredibly convenient! So, I’m sharing this guide to help anyone who might need it.

What Do You Need to Check Online?
To view your medical reports online, you first need an officially recognized digital identity authentication method, as this involves sensitive personal data. Here are the main options:
- Clave PIN / Clave Permanente: This is the most convenient method, and many people already use it for filing taxes. If you don’t have it yet, you can get it quickly at a Social Security or Tax Agency (Agencia Tributaria) office. You can also apply online and then use the mobile app to get a dynamic password for logging in. Highly recommended.
- Certificado Digital (Digital Certificate): This is a file installed on your computer’s browser or your phone. It’s very powerful, allowing you not only to check medical reports but also to handle various other government procedures. The application process is slightly more complex than for Clave, but it’s a set-it-and-forget-it solution.
- DNI electrónico (Electronic ID Card): If you have a newer chip-enabled DNI and a card reader, you can also use it to log in.
How to Check Your Reports
Each autonomous community’s health system website is different, but the basic process is similar. You need to find the official health service portal for your region. I’ll use Andalusia as an example, but the steps are much the same in other areas.
- Go to the Andalusian health service website, ClicSalud+.
- On the homepage, look for a button like “Acceder” (Access) or “Mis Citas / Mi Salud” (My Appointments / My Health).
- After clicking, the system will ask you to choose your login method. Select either Clave PIN or Certificado Digital.
- Once you’ve successfully logged in, you’ll be taken to your personal health portal. Here, you should find an option called “Consultar Informes Clínicos” (Consult Clinical Reports) or “Resultados de Pruebas” (Test Results).
- Click on it to see all your test records, including blood analysis and radiology reports. You can view them directly or download them as PDF files. No more trips to the hospital! Super convenient, right?
Below are the health system portals for some major autonomous communities. You can find the right one for your area. If your region isn’t listed here, you can try searching Google for “Servicio de Salud [Your Region’s Name]”. For additional help, you can also read about understanding [Spanish blood test reports].
