I’ve been looking at schools for my daughter recently, focusing on international schools here in Valencia to consider her academic future and language environment. After checking out a few, we’re currently leaning towards the American School of Valencia. We visited during their open day, and I was quite impressed with the campus and facilities; the teachers also seemed very professional. I snapped a photo of their school uniform, specifically the middle school girls’ version, and wanted to share it here for some discussion.

This is the uniform for middle school girls, which includes both a regular and a sports kit. The one in the photo appears to be the sports uniform: a blue short-sleeved Polo shirt with the school emblem on the chest, paired with dark sports shorts. The material looks to be quick-dry and breathable, which is very practical for Spain’s hot summers. The regular uniform consists of a white Polo shirt that can be paired with either khaki trousers or a plaid skirt. Personally, I find the design decent—not stunning, but it has the benefit of being simple and elegant, which suits girls of this age.
I’m particularly interested in the quality and price of the uniform. Kids grow fast, and uniforms often need replacing annually, so if the cost is too high, it becomes a significant expense. I asked the school staff and learned they have a designated supplier for online purchases. I’ve put together a list of the basic items for regular school days and P.E. class, along with their approximate prices, for your reference:
| Item | Approx. Price |
| White Polo Shirt | €20-€25 |
| Plaid Skirt | €35-€40 |
| Sports Polo Shirt | €20-€25 |
| Sports Shorts | €18-€22 |
| Fleece Jacket | €40-€45 |
Note: These prices are estimates and may vary depending on the size, and perhaps other factors for international school girls. A complete set, excluding shoes and socks, comes to around €150. This seems a bit more expensive than uniforms at public schools, but considering it’s an international school, the price is not unexpected and seems reasonable.
Overall, my impression of the ASV uniform is quite positive. The design has no major flaws, and practicality has been considered. I’m just curious about the actual comfort and durability. Are there any parents here whose children attend this school? Could you share your experience with the uniform’s quality? Or does anyone know of other schools in Valencia with better-looking or more cost-effective uniforms? All suggestions and discussions are welcome! A parent’s worries about their child’s schooling are never-ending
