Hello everyone! I’ve seen a lot of questions on the forums recently about universities in Barcelona, especially UAB. Since I’m quite familiar with it, I thought I’d start a thread to share some information and personal insights. I hope this helps those of you who are choosing a university.
When it comes to UAB, its most defining feature is its huge, self-contained campus. The main campus isn’t in downtown Barcelona but in Cerdanyola del Vallès, about a 30-40 minute train ride from the city center. The upside is the fantastic environment—it’s very green, like a proper university town, with a great academic atmosphere and all the facilities you could need. The downside? The commute is a bit longer, and if you’re a fan of the bustling city life, you might find it a bit ‘rural.’ Here’s a picture of the UAB student residence area. Doesn’t it look relaxing?
