I’ve been researching schools for my little one lately and found that information about international preschools in Spain is quite scattered. Finding each official website one by one has been overwhelming. I’ve spent some time compiling the websites and basic details of a few international schools that I found promising. I’m sharing this with fellow parents who are also doing their homework, hoping it can save you some effort!
Why Start with the Official Website?
The reason is simple: the official website is the school’s most direct window to the public. Information on educational philosophy, curriculum, facilities, faculty, and even the daily lunch menu is generally most complete and accurate on the website. Furthermore, application procedures, open day schedules, and tuition details are all first-hand information you should get from the official source. Instead of listening to exaggerated claims from various agents, it’s better to do your own solid research first.
A Compilation of International School Websites in Major Cities
Here are a few schools I’ve focused on, mainly in Madrid and Barcelona, as these are the cities where most people live. These schools generally offer a complete education from preschool through to high school.

- King’s College, The British School of Madrid: A well-established British school with several campuses and rich educational resources for the preschool level. Official website:

Barcelona Area
- The British School of Barcelona : Also a top-tier British school, known for being academically rigorous. Official website:

- Benjamin Franklin International School : Leans towards an American style of education, with a relatively free and lively atmosphere. Official website:

This is just a partial list. You can use these schools as a starting point to discover more, such as the United International School. Choosing a school is a major undertaking. I suggest you start by doing a preliminary screening through these international school websites, focusing on whether the school’s educational philosophy and curriculum align with your expectations. Then, schedule a school visit to get a real feel for the place. I hope this information is helpful, and feel free to add and discuss your own preferred schools! Choosing a school is so exhausting
