As a newcomer to Spain, I’ve been researching schools for my child lately, and it’s been overwhelming. After looking around, SEK International School seems to be a name that keeps popping up. It’s very well-known, and its IB curriculum is famous. However, after searching online, I found the information to be quite scattered. Some sources say there are 4 campuses, others say 6, and some even include campuses in other countries, which was confusing. So I took the time to sort through the information on SEK-Castillo and wanted to share my findings with other parents who are also choosing a school. Let’s discuss it together!
SEK Campuses in Spain
After some research and confirmation, there are currently 6 main SEK campuses in Spain. These are not franchises; they all belong to the same educational group, sharing a unified teaching philosophy and quality standards. Each campus has its own unique characteristics based on its location and history.

Specifically, these 6 campuses are spread across different cities in Spain, with the Madrid region having the most (3 campuses). This offers more options for families considering settling in a major city. The other campuses are located in Catalonia, Andalusia, and Galicia.
Brief Information on Each Campus
To make comparison easier, I’ve created a simple table listing each campus’s city/region and some key information. This data is from the official websites and should be accurate, but for specific annual admission policies and tuition fees, it’s always best to contact the schools directly for the most reliable information.
| Campus Name | City/Region | Features |
| SEK-El Castillo | Madrid | Flagship campus, comprehensive facilities, offers boarding |
| SEK-Ciudalcampo | Madrid | Located in an affluent northern suburb, great environment |
| SEK-Santa Isabel | Madrid | Located in the city center, the group’s oldest school |
| SEK-Catalunya | Barcelona | The only campus in Catalonia |
| SEK-Alborán | Almería | In Andalusia, by the sea |
| SEK-Atlántico | Pontevedra | In Galicia, offers SEK International Schools boarding |
SEK is considered top-tier among private schools in Spain, with excellent IB pass rates and university placement records. However, the tuition is definitely not cheap—my wallet is crying. Also, the atmosphere and facilities vary at each campus, as do the [SEK International School tuition fees]. For example, the El Castillo campus is huge, like a university, while Santa Isabel is smaller and more boutique, located right in the center of Madrid. Are there any parents here with children attending these schools? Could you share your real-life experiences? For instance, things like the application difficulty, language environment, and after-school activities would be a great reference for others. Thanks in advance!
