When I first came to Spain, besides shopping at physical stores, Amazon was my go-to. Prime members get fast delivery and easy returns—a real lifesaver for someone like me. However, after using it for a while, I noticed that Amazon’s prices can fluctuate quite a bit, and it’s easy to overpay. After some research and trial and error, I’ve compiled a few tips for saving money on Amazon Spain. I’m sharing them with everyone on the forum so we can all save together!
First Stop for Deals: Amazon Warehouse Deals
This is my absolute favorite! Many people might not have noticed this section. Simply put, it sells items that have been returned by customers or have slightly damaged packaging. Amazon thoroughly inspects and tests these products for functionality, then sells them at a significant discount based on their condition.
I once bought an air fryer in ‘Muy buen estado’ (Very Good condition). Only the outer box was a bit dented, but the machine itself was brand new, and I saved almost 40 euros! It’s especially great for electronics, small appliances, and household goods. When you search for products, you can filter the seller to ‘Amazon Warehouse’ or go directly to the dedicated section from the homepage.

A Daily Essential: Subscribe & Save
For consumables you need to buy regularly, like toilet paper, laundry detergent, cat food, or coffee capsules, you should definitely use the ‘Suscríbete y ahorra’ (Subscribe & Save) feature. By choosing this option, you can set a delivery schedule and not only get a discount on your first purchase but also continue to enjoy savings on subsequent automatic deliveries, typically ranging from 5% to 15%. Most importantly, the subscription can be canceled or skipped at any time without any commitment, making it very flexible. If you just want the initial discount, you can simply cancel future deliveries in ‘Mis suscripciones’ (My Subscriptions) after your item has shipped. It’s that easy.
A Comparison of Discount Tiers
| Number of Subscriptions | Base Discount | Extra Discount (Specific Categories) | Maximum Savings |
| 1-2 items | 5% | 0-5% | 10% |
| 3-4 items | 5% | 0-5% | 10% |
| 5+ items | 10% | 0-5% | 15% |
Finding Hidden Discounts and Coupons
Besides the two main methods above, Amazon has many ‘hidden’ offers. For example, below the price on a product page, there’s often a small checkbox that says ‘Aplicar cupón de X€’ (Apply X€ coupon). Many people overlook this, so be sure to check it before you check out! Additionally, Amazon has a dedicated coupons page that lists all currently available coupons by category. It’s worth browsing now and then—you might just find a discount on something you need.
One last reminder, during major sales events like Prime Day and Black Friday, while the discounts may seem huge, be sure to add items you want to your cart in advance and monitor their price changes. Some items, like wool coats, might have their prices increased before being discounted, so don’t fall for the trick. I hope these tips help everyone, and feel free to share more of your own Amazon money-saving hacks!
