I just moved to Spain not long ago and have been looking for job opportunities. I’ve noticed that Amazon is constantly hiring, especially for its large fulfillment centers around Madrid and Barcelona. The positions seem to be mainly for warehouse associates, and the entry barrier doesn’t seem too high, which is quite appealing. However, the salary information online is very confusing. I’d like to ask if anyone here knows what the real salary and benefits at Amazon Spain are like.
I’ve done some research on my own and asked a few friends who have worked in different warehouses. I’ve compiled the information here as a reference for everyone, and I welcome anyone with more inside knowledge to add to or correct it.
Salary Structure for Amazon Warehouse Employees in Spain
Amazon Spain’s salaries strictly adhere to the regional collective agreements (convenios colectivos). Therefore, salary standards can vary slightly between different autonomous communities, but they are generally quite similar. Typically, a full-time, entry-level warehouse employee’s base salary is around €1,500-€1,600/month gross. This is based on a 12-payment structure. Often, companies prorate the two extra salary payments (pagas extras) into the monthly pay, making the monthly salary appear higher, reaching around €1,700-€1,800/month gross.

In addition to the base salary, there are other sources of income:
- Night Shift Bonus: This can be a significant addition. If you are scheduled for night shifts, you receive an extra hourly bonus, which can add up to a substantial amount over a month.
- Holiday Overtime: During peak seasons like Black Friday and the period before Christmas, overtime is common. However, Spanish law mandates high pay rates for holiday overtime, so many are willing to work to earn this extra money.
- Position Level: If you get promoted to a T3 level, your Amazon Spain salary will see a noticeable increase.
Salary Reference for Different Positions
For a clearer picture, I’ve put together a simple table. The data is based on the general situation in the Madrid region and is for reference only:
| Position Level | Job Title | Monthly Salary Range |
| Nivel I | Mozo de Almacén | €1,700 - €1,900 |
| Nivel III | Process Assistant / Problem Solver | €1,900 - €2,200 |
| Nivel IV | Area Manager | €2,300 - €2,800+ |
As a large corporation, Amazon is quite standardized in terms of salary and benefits; social security contributions are paid at the highest rates. The work intensity is indeed high, especially during peak season, which can be physically demanding. However, for those who are new to Spain, still learning the language, and need a stable job to get by, it’s a solid option. What do you all think? Are there any former employees who can share their actual experiences?
