The Madrid City Council held a press conference at the Senate Library (Biblioteca del Senado) to officially announce the details of the annual Three Kings Parade, set to take place on January 5, 2026.
Parade Route and Schedule
This year’s Three Kings Parade is scheduled to begin at 18:00 on January 5. The procession will depart from the upper part of Paseo de la Castellana, near Nuevos Ministerios, and proceed along the main city avenue, with an estimated duration of about three hours. The parade will conclude at the iconic Plaza de Cibeles, where the Three Kings will deliver their traditional address.
‘Shared Knowledge’ Theme and Parade Lineup
The theme for this year’s parade is ‘Shared Knowledge’ (El saber compartido), paying homage to the Three Wise Men from the East as keepers of ancient wisdom. The parade will kick off with a mobile stage performance symbolizing the ‘Star of the East’ (la estrella de Oriente). Three magnificent royal floats will be the centerpiece of the procession, accompanied by large luminous installations depicting constellations and guardian angels. Additionally, standard-bearers, hundreds of royal pages, and various performance groups will form a vibrant and colorful procession, creating a festive atmosphere in the heart of Madrid.
Performances at Plaza de Cibeles
Before the parade reaches its destination, the stage in front of the Palacio de Cibeles will host a continuous lineup of exciting performances. The program includes a segment from ‘Sueña despierto’ by the Teatro Circo Price company and a specially choreographed dance for the event by director Nuria Castejón. As a grand finale before the Kings’ arrival, renowned magician Jorge Blass will present a custom-designed magic show.
Grand Finale and Event’s Message
Around 21:00, the Three Kings (Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltasar) are expected to arrive at Plaza de Cibeles to address the crowd. Following their speech, a spectacular fireworks display synchronized with music will bring the entire Three Kings celebration to a perfect close. Marta Rivera de la Cruz, the delegate for Culture, Tourism, and Sport of Madrid, stated that the theme also aims to pay tribute to the educators of today who guide people to think and explore the world.
