Daylight Street Attack
Around 3:15 PM this Friday, the tranquility of Madrid’s Tetuán district was shattered by a gunshot. On Almansa Street, a young man, only 23 years old, was suddenly shot. The bullet hit his left shoulder, leaving bloodstains at the scene. According to initial witness statements, the perpetrator was riding a light mobility vehicle at the time of the crime, though it is not yet clear whether it was an electric scooter or a bicycle. After firing the shot, the assailant used the vehicle’s agility to speed away, disappearing into the complex network of surrounding alleyways.
Emergency Response and Victim’s Condition
Following the incident, the Samur-Protección Civil emergency services of Madrid quickly arrived on the scene. Paramedics found that although the victim’s left shoulder injury was serious, he was conscious while receiving first aid and his vital signs were stable. After initial wound treatment and monitoring, the victim was rushed to Hospital Universitario La Paz for further surgical treatment. A spokesperson for Emergencias Madrid later confirmed that despite the severe trauma caused by the bullet, the victim’s life is not currently in danger.
