Hello everyone! Lately, I’ve seen a lot of amazing Spanish food pictures shared on the forum, making my mouth water. However, I also noticed that sometimes the comments are simply “delicious,” which doesn’t offer much information. Having lived in Spain for a few years and as a true foodie who wrote the Spanish Food Industry Analysis Paper, I gradually developed my own method for noting down restaurant visits. Today, I’m sharing this template with you all, hoping to help us better capture and share those moments that dazzle our tastebuds!
Using a set framework for food analysis not only makes your posts clear and easy to follow for others, but also provides a great way to organize and reflect for yourself. When you want to revisit memories of a particular restaurant or dish, just look back at your notes—suddenly, the flavor, ambiance, and even mood of that day will return. Isn’t that wonderful? It’s more than just a recommendation; it’s leaving a wonderful footnote in your own life.
Below is my personal review template, using the classic paella as an example. Feel free to use and adapt it:
My Spanish Culinary Analysis Report Spanish Food Review and Analysis
Restaurant Name: Restaurante La Valenciana
Date of Visit: October 26, 2023
Signature Dish: Paella

| Review Aspect | Score | Comment |
| Visual Appeal | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Beautiful plating, generous ingredients, vivid colors |
| Taste | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Rice is perfectly springy, bottom is crispy, seafood sweet and fresh |
| Value | ⭐⭐⭐ | Price is on the higher side, but justified by the quality |
| Ambience/Service | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Mediterranean vibe, friendly staff |
When you’re describing your experience, you can add more depth, inspired by the Spanish Cuisine Analysis Paper Topics. For example, instead of just saying okay or not bad, try specifying that “the rice had perfectly absorbed the essence of the seafood broth, every bite bursting with rich and savory flavor”. When describing the environment, you might add that “the terrace seating is highly sought after, offering marvelous views of the evening street—great for the atmosphere”. Such vivid descriptions offer far more reference and imagination value.
This template is just a basic framework to get you started! Feel free to add or remove sections according to your preferences, such as including “wine pairing suggestions,” “recommended signature tapas,” or anything else. I hope this little template helps, and I look forward to seeing even more exciting and detailed food review posts from everyone! Jump into the comments and share your top Spanish dish!
