A Terrifying Moment in Broad Daylight
A serious attempted child kidnapping recently occurred on the famous Postiguet beach in Alicante, Spain. The incident reportedly took place around 5 p.m. on Monday, as a Russian mother was enjoying a holiday on the beach with her two daughters, aged 4 and 12, and a friend.
According to eyewitnesses, two men of Moroccan origin, estimated to be in their 30s, had been loitering near them for some time. Suddenly, one of the men grabbed the 4-year-old girl without warning and attempted to drag her into the water. Meanwhile, his accomplice was waiting in the shallow water nearby.
Mother Bravely Fights Back to Rescue Daughter
The girl’s mother noticed something was wrong immediately. Without hesitation, she rushed into the water and engaged in a fierce struggle with the man. After a physical altercation, the brave mother successfully wrested her 4-year-old daughter from the suspect’s grasp, preventing the situation from escalating.
After their attempt failed, the two men did not flee immediately but continued to swim in the water, seemingly looking for an opportunity to escape. The shaken mother promptly reported the incident to the police.
Police Swiftly Respond and Arrest Suspects
Upon receiving the report, local police officers patrolling the area quickly arrived at the scene. The officers located the two suspects in the water and set up a perimeter on the shore. As soon as the two men came ashore, the police intercepted and arrested them.
The two suspects have now been handed over to the Spanish National Police (Policía Nacional), and a thorough investigation into the case will be conducted.
Suspects Potentially Linked to Another Sexual Assault Case
During the arrest, a Serbian woman at the scene recognized the two men. She approached the police and testified that shortly before this incident, the same men had followed her while she was swimming in the sea, and one of them had attempted to sexually assault her.
This new allegation adds another layer of complexity to the case and suggests the suspects may not be first-time offenders. The police will consolidate the investigation into both related incidents.

This attempted kidnapping is not the only public safety issue on Postiguet beach recently. It is understood that several other criminal incidents have occurred on the beach in recent days, including thefts of tourists’ belongings like mobile phones, and reports from women about being touched and sexually harassed by strangers. This string of incidents has raised widespread concern among local residents and tourists about the safety situation on the beach.
