Around 12:40 PM last Thursday, a serious violent incident took place in the Nou Barris district of Barcelona, Spain. The Barcelona municipal police (Guàrdia Urbana) found a critically injured man on a public road and immediately alerted the Catalan Police (Mossos d’Esquadra), with multiple units promptly arriving at the scene.
The Medical Emergency System (Sistema d’Emergències Mèdiques - SEM) also dispatched four ambulances to provide first aid. Due to the victim’s critical condition, he was rushed to the hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. Initial reports indicate the deceased had multiple stab wounds.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Following the incident, the Criminal Investigation Division (Divisió d’Investigació Criminal) of the Catalan Police officially took over the case and, on the same day, arrested a male suspect in connection with the crime. Police are now working to determine the exact circumstances of the attack, the motive, and any potential relationship between the suspect and the deceased.
To gather evidence, investigators conducted a detailed search of several locations around the crime scene. Near 17 Almansa Street, police cordoned off and seized a motorcycle believed to be linked to the case. The vehicle was later removed by a municipal tow truck for further examination by forensic experts. This location is not far from another site at 41 Casals Street, where forensic teams were also conducting their investigation.

The case is currently under a judicial seal, meaning officials cannot disclose further details.
