Late-Night Heist and Swift Response
Recently, a pharmacy in the Creu Alta neighborhood of Sabadell, Catalonia, was the target of a late-night smash-and-grab robbery. The incident occurred at the Núria Llongueras pharmacy, located on the Carretera de Prats de Lluçanès. Surveillance footage shows a minor suspect shattering the pharmacy’s display window, entering the premises, and quickly making off with two cash registers. The loud noise from the break-in alerted nearby residents, who promptly reported it to the police, providing a crucial lead for the swift arrest.
Police Interception and Arrests
Upon receiving the alert, the Catalan regional police (Mossos d’Esquadra) quickly initiated an interception operation. Acting on a witness’s description of the getaway vehicle, officers pursued and successfully stopped the car as the suspects attempted to flee the scene. A total of three suspects were arrested in the operation: a male minor, a 44-year-old woman, and a 25-year-old woman. Authorities have stated that the possibility of a fourth accomplice at large is not being ruled out, and the investigation is ongoing.
Damages and Legal Proceedings
Although the police successfully recovered approximately €650 in cash from the stolen registers, the pharmacy sustained significant property damage. According to the pharmacy’s assessment, in addition to the shattered display window, the two cash registers were damaged from being forcibly ripped out, and a perfume display case was also broken during the robbery. All arrested suspects have now been handed over to the relevant judicial authorities to await further legal proceedings.
