Barcelona’s local dining brand Kevabro has made a name for itself in the local culinary scene through its dedication to authentic Turkish kebabs. Not only has it captured the mass market, but it has also attracted frequent visits from FC Barcelona’s rising star, Lamine Yamal.
Star Effect and Market Reputation
According to social media influencer Edurnyx, the 16-year-old football prodigy Lamine Yamal is a regular customer and loyal fan of Kevabro. This celebrity endorsement has brought immense attention to the restaurant. However, Kevabro’s success does not rely solely on fame; its impressive 80% customer retention rate perfectly demonstrates the product’s strong appeal and solid reputation among everyday consumers.

The Secret to Success: Sticking to Tradition
What sets Kevabro apart is its respect for tradition. Co-founder Samu Catalan clearly stated that the brand’s goal is not to “reinterpret” the kebab, but to “stay true to its cultural roots and bring the most authentic product to Barcelona.” To achieve this, the founding team traveled to Turkey, Berlin, and Lebanon—the birthplaces of the kebab and shawarma—to deeply study traditional recipes and preparation techniques. Regarding ingredients, the restaurant insists on using premium raw materials, including Black Angus and Cap de Mort beef from Girona, as well as locally sourced chicken thighs with no added fat, all paired with freshly baked bread daily and secret sauces.
Outstanding Operational Data and Core Products
Kevabro’s operational data is remarkable, currently selling up to 14 tons of meat per month. Its signature product, the “Berlin Kebab,” has sold over 113,000 units since its launch. The restaurant offers customers two core flavor profiles: “OG Ahmed,” representing the classic traditional Lebanese flavor, and “Berlin,” which replicates the popular taste of the German capital. In terms of presentation, customers can choose between a Durum (wrap) or a Doner (sandwich-style bread) to suit their preferences.
Local Consolidation and Global Expansion Blueprint
Currently, Kevabro operates three branches in Barcelona, located at Carrer de la Creu Coberta 105, Placa del Doctor Letamendi 30, and Carrer Sant Antoni Maria Claret 220 near the Sagrada Familia. The brand plans to expand its Barcelona footprint to five locations by the end of 2026. A more ambitious plan is to launch an internationalization process in 2027, with the first target markets being Dubai, London, and Paris. Furthermore, the restaurant partners with delivery platforms like Uber Eats, making it convenient for locals and tourists to enjoy a meal at any time. This series of initiatives highlights Kevabro’s business ambition to establish a strong foothold in Barcelona while setting its sights on the global market.
