On October 2, the Spanish National Police in the Balearic Islands successfully arrested a man suspected of violently snatching an infant. The suspect not only ignored a judicial restraining order but also allegedly assaulted his ex-partner and forcibly took away their 6-month-old daughter.

Defying Judicial Restraining Order and Assaulting Ex-Partner
According to the preliminary investigation by the Spanish National Police, the incident occurred around 18:00 on October 2. The victim told the police that the man involved was her ex-partner, against whom she had an active restraining order. However, on the day of the incident, the man forced his way into her residence, causing a disturbance under the pretext of ‘visiting the child.’ During the ensuing altercation, the man allegedly beat the woman and, after violently pushing the victim multiple times, forcefully pushed the stroller containing their 6-month-old baby girl away from the scene.
Desperate Mother Calls for Help as Patrol Officers Respond Swiftly
Following the incident, the victim chased him into the street, suffering a severe emotional breakdown. Coincidentally, a unit of the Spanish National Police was conducting a routine patrol near the Estadi Balear stadium in the Balearic Islands. The officers noticed the woman screaming desperately in the street, ‘They took the baby!’ Realizing the urgency of the situation, some officers immediately stepped forward to comfort and protect the mother, while others swiftly locked onto the suspect’s escape route based on her directions.
Suspect Fails to Hide Stroller as Police Make Decisive Arrest
Following the clues, the pursuing officers soon spotted a man running frantically in the distance while pushing a stroller. Under close pursuit by the police, the man briefly attempted to hide the stroller between two parked cars on the side of the road to evade capture. However, this deceptive move failed, and the police quickly intercepted him. Upon being stopped, the man refused to cooperate, displayed extreme aggression, and even tried to break free from police control to continue escaping with the baby. Ultimately, the Spanish National Police took decisive measures to completely subdue and arrest him. The suspect is currently in custody, and the case has entered an in-depth investigation phase.
