Every weekend, I enjoy hiking with family and friends, exploring the beauty of the land step by step. To date, I’ve climbed over 50 peaks. Today, I’d like to share one of my favorite hiking routes. This trail not only offers breathtaking scenery but also provides panoramic views of the sparkling Mediterranean Sea, the bustling city of Valencia, and the ancient Roman-era Sagunto Amphitheater and city walls. It’s an easy route, suitable for all ages, and perfect for family outings.
Starting Point:
Located in the renowned Puzol residential area, the trail offers several options depending on your preference and fitness level, making the journey both relaxing and enjoyable.
For those hesitant to drive uphill:
You can park at the base of the mountain, but this requires a 2.4-kilometer walk along a winding road.

The lazy option:
For families with small children or elderly members, drive to the signal tower, the closest parking point to the summit. Space is limited to about three vehicles, and from there, it’s only a 300-meter walk to the top.

Highlight: The Cliffside Scenic View
The highlight of this hike is the stunning cliff at the summit. Starting from the signal tower, you’ll walk through a grove of low shrubs before reaching an open area with an incredible viewing platform. Standing at the cliff’s edge, you can take in the expansive views of Valencia’s cityscape, the shimmering sea, and the ancient Sagunto city walls in the distance.
Scenic Spot Coordinates:

I love lying on the edge of the cliff, on the rocks that seem to float in midair, feeling the gentle Mediterranean breeze and the warm sunlight. It’s a perfect escape from the noise of the world, a moment to embrace nature’s beauty and vastness. The spot is also ideal for photography, offering countless angles to capture the essence of your journey.
Descent Options:
You can return the way you came, but if you’d prefer a more adventurous route, take the small path down from the summit. Along the way, you’ll pass by a tranquil chapel.
