A Partial Review of Ham Slices in Spanish Supermarkets to Help You Overcome Choice Overload!
If you’ve just arrived in Spain, you might be as shocked as I was when seeing that entire wall of ham slices in the supermarket for the first time. First, let’s clarify two basic concepts: Serrano and Ibérico. If your main uses are making bocadillos, pairing with melon, or seasoning stir-fries, there’s really no need to go for the Ibérico. Mercadona’s Serrano Reserva is more than enough: moderately salty and tasty, affordable, and you won’t feel guilty eating it frequently.
