Drainage System Design
The drainage system is the most critical part of the entire turf construction. Football pitches in Spain usually adopt a blind ditch drainage system, installing drainage pipes underneath the field. The main drainage pipe diameter is usually 150-200 mm, with secondary pipes around 100 mm, and pipe spacing controlled between 8 to 12 meters.

After seeding or laying sod, sufficient watering and care are necessary. The strong Spanish sunlight requires new turf to receive appropriate shading to prevent sunburn. Generally, new turf requires 4 to 6 weeks of maintenance before it can be used.
Post-Construction Maintenance
Maintaining the turf after construction is equally important. Regular mowing is indispensable.
