As a football fan who has lived many years in Spain and a creator of Spanish football handicrafts, I discovered that the football culture here is truly passionate, especially around game day when the vibrant atmosphere is felt in every corner of the streets. Recently, I have gotten into making small football-themed crafts, which are great to both show support for the team and decorate at home. Today, I want to share some simple and easy projects.
Real Madrid and Barcelona Badge Keychain Making
This project is especially suitable for beginners and materials are easy to find. I used colored felt, embroidery thread, and keychain rings. First, I found the team badge patterns online and printed them as templates, then cut out the shapes on the felt. I embroidered the details with a backstitch method and finally sewed the keychain ring to complete it. I made two versions for Real Madrid and Barcelona, which my friends really liked.

Comparison table of production time and cost:
| Project | Production Time | Material Cost | Difficulty Level |
| Keychain | 2-3 hours | 5-8 euros | Beginner |
| Mini pitch | 4-6 hours | 15-20 euros | Intermediate |
| Jersey frame | 1-2 hours | 10-15 euros | Beginner |
Mini Football Pitch Model
This project is a bit more complex, but the final effect is fantastic. I used cardboard for the base, green velvet fabric for the grass, and white tape to mark the lines. The most fun part was making the small stands by folding colored paper to create seat effects and sticking some small fan stickers on them. The entire process takes about a weekend, but the sense of accomplishment when the finished product appears is truly rewarding.
Jersey Collection Frame
If you, like me, have collected many team jerseys, consider making a dedicated display frame. I bought a large deep frame, lined it with background fabric in the team’s colors, and fixed the jersey neatly inside. You can also add some match tickets, player cards, and other small memorabilia. Although it takes up space, it really has great sentimental value.
Crafting Experience Sharing
From my months of crafting experience, I found patience is the most important, especially when dealing with details. Also, choosing materials carefully is key; I recommend checking local craft stores as they often offer some unexpectedly good supplies. Most importantly, don’t fear failure—my first piece was frankly disastrous, but now I can create pretty decent work. Interested friends are welcome to connect and share ideas; maybe we can even form a small craft group!
