Having lived in Segovia for several years, I’m very familiar with the shopping environment around this Segovia Roman Aqueduct. This beautiful town not only boasts an amazing ancient Roman aqueduct bridge, but also offers a rich and colorful shopping experience. From traditional markets to modern stores, each place has its unique charm.
Main Shopping Area Distribution
Segovia’s shopping areas are mainly concentrated in two parts: the old town and the new town. The old town focuses on traditional handicrafts and souvenirs, while the new town has more modern shops and supermarkets. The area around Plaza Mayor is the liveliest shopping district, gathering various small shops and restaurants.
Most recommended is the farmers market held every Thursday and Sunday at Plaza del Espolón. Here you can buy the freshest vegetables, fruits and local specialties. The market starts at 8 AM and usually ends around 2 PM. Locals prefer to go early because good items are always snapped up quickly.

Segovia’s most famous specialty is undoubtedly the seasonings and preserved products related to roast suckling pig. In traditional food stores in the old town, you can buy spice sets for making authentic roast suckling pig. Prices usually range from 15-30 euros, making them perfect as souvenirs.
Besides traditional products, modern shopping centers are also worth visiting for Segovia tourism. Luz Shopping, located in the new town, is the largest shopping center locally, featuring international brands like Zara and H&M, plus a decent Carrefour supermarket.
