I’m relocating to Barcelona for work soon, so I’m subletting my apartment in Madrid where I’ve lived for three years. It’s located in the Chueca district, just a 5-minute walk from Gran Vía metro station and about 10 minutes on foot to Puerta del Sol—super convenient location.
Apartment Details
The apartment is approximately 75 square meters, featuring two bedrooms, one living room, and one bathroom. The south-facing living room has excellent natural light. The open-plan kitchen comes equipped with a fridge, dishwasher, and oven. I’ve also got a Nespresso coffee machine that I can leave for the next tenant. Both bedrooms have wardrobes and beds; the second bedroom is slightly smaller but easily fits a double bed. The bathroom has a shower with reliable hot water.

The entire apartment was renovated in 2019 with wooden floors and double-glazed windows, providing good soundproofing. Despite being in the city center, it’s quite peaceful at night. Property management fees and internet are included in the rent—you only need to pay separately for water, electricity, and gas, which typically runs €50-70 per month.
Local Amenities and Transport
Living in this area is incredibly convenient. There’s a Mercadona supermarket right downstairs, and a Carrefour Express just two minutes away—shopping for groceries is never a problem. The neighborhood has tons of restaurants and bars; on weekends, you’ll have plenty of tapas options to choose from.
| Facility Type | Distance | Notes |
| Metro Station | 5 minutes | Gran Vía station, L1/L5 lines |
| Supermarket | 1 minute | Mercadona |
| Pharmacy | 3 minutes | 24-hour pharmacy |
| Gym | 8 minutes | Multiple options |
Transport connections are excellent—you have access to metro lines L1 and L5, making it easy to reach the airport and train stations. Bus stops are right outside with routes 10 and 146 passing through. If you cycle, there are several BiciMAD stations nearby.
Rent and Requirements
Monthly rent €1,200, with a two-month deposit. Minimum one-year contract with renewal options. Looking for long-term stable tenants, preferably working or studying in Madrid with proof of stable income. No pets, no smoking.
Since I’m leaving in early December, I hope to find a suitable tenant soon. If you’re interested, we can arrange a viewing on weekday evenings or weekends. During the viewing, I can give you a detailed tour of the surrounding area—I’ve lived in this neighborhood for years and know it very well.
Interested parties can send me a private message or leave a comment, preferably with a brief introduction about yourself. There’s some flexibility on price, but mainly I’m looking for a reliable tenant who will take good care of the apartment.
