Real Madrid’s recent performance has been truly exciting, especially this season after signing Mbappé, which has elevated the squad’s strength to another level. As a fan who has lived in Madrid for many years, I’d like to share the latest Real Madrid squad list and my personal insights on Madrid football.
Goalkeeper Position
In the goalkeeper position, Courtois remains the absolute starter. This Belgian international has consistently delivered solid performances. On the bench, we have Lunin and Fran González. Lunin actually performed quite well during Courtois’ injury period, which gave us some confidence. Honestly, with this goalkeeper configuration, we don’t need to worry much about the defensive end.

Defensive Line Players
In the defensive line, Carvajal, Militão, Rüdiger, Alaba, and Mendy are all familiar faces. However, Alaba has been dealing with injuries, so this season may require more rotation from the Madrid football team coach. Young Vázquez has been impressive after transitioning to defender, and we also have emerging talent like Fran García. The defensive depth is definitely better than last season.
Midfield Configuration Analysis
The midfield is Real Madrid’s core area. Although Modrić is getting older, he’s still in great form. After Kroos’ retirement, Bellingham and Valverde have taken on more responsibility. Camavinga and Tchouaméni are also very promising players. Special mention goes to Bellingham - his performance last season was absolutely stunning, with numerous goals and assists.
Here’s a table of the starting lineup from the Madrid football team roster:
| Position | Starting Players | Substitute Players |
| Goalkeeper | Courtois | Lunin |
| Defenders | Carvajal, Rüdiger, Militão, Mendy | Alaba, Vázquez |
| Midfielders | Bellingham, Valverde, Modrić | Camavinga, Tchouaméni |
| Forwards | Vinícius, Mbappé, Rodrygo | Brahim Díaz, Endrick |
Forward Line Strength Analysis
The forward line now boasts an absolutely luxurious configuration. The Mbappé, Vinícius, and Rodrygo trident combination offers world-class speed, technique, and shooting ability. Young Endrick is also very talented, though he still needs time to adapt to European football’s pace. Brahim Díaz is an excellent rotation option in every aspect.
I was initially worried whether Mbappé’s arrival would create a positional conflict with Vinícius, but looking at the current matches, Ancelotti’s tactical arrangements are very reasonable, and the two players complement each other well.
Real Madrid’s squad depth and strength this season have reached new heights, with sufficient rotation players in every position. Competing on both Champions League and La Liga fronts should be manageable - it just depends on whether the players can stay healthy and maintain their form. How many trophies do you think this squad can win? Feel free to discuss in the comments!
