Recently discovered a restaurant called Lelong in central Madrid and wanted to share my dining experience with everyone. The place is quite easy to find, located on a small street near Gran Vía, and wasn’t too crowded when we went on the weekend.
Ambiance and Atmosphere
The restaurant features a modern minimalist decor style with comfortable lighting that’s neither too bright nor too dim. It can accommodate around forty to fifty people, with both window seats and booth seating available. If you’re going on a Friday evening, booking in advance is recommended, as it tends to get quite busy during that time slot. Soft background music creates a perfect atmosphere for gatherings with friends or romantic dates.

Dishes and Prices
We ordered several dishes, and for those looking for Madrid restaurant agencies, overall the portions were moderate and the flavors were quite good. Here are the main dishes we ordered with their prices:
| Dish Name | Price | Rating |
| Grilled Octopus | 18.50 | 4.5/5 |
| Iberian Ham | 22.00 | 5/5 |
| Paella | 16.00 | ⅘ |
| Tiramisu | 6.50 | ⅘ |
The Iberian ham is especially recommended - sliced paper-thin, it melts in your mouth, and the accompanying bread is very fresh. The grilled octopus was quite tender, though the portion was a bit small. The paella’s rice was slightly soft, but they were generous with the seafood.
Service Experience
The waitstaff were quite friendly, and although their English wasn’t particularly fluent, communication wasn’t an issue. Service speed was moderate, with about a twenty-minute wait. Important note: this restaurant doesn’t accept American Express cards - only Visa or Mastercard, though cash is also accepted.
Overall Assessment
For two people, the bill came to around 70 euros, which is reasonable for central Madrid. If you’re interested in Madrid restaurant recruitment or looking for a place with nice ambiance and consistent food quality for dining out, Lelong is a solid choice. The paella could use some improvement though. Next time, I plan to try their steak, which I’ve heard is also quite good.
