Last weekend, my friends and I visited the Havana bar in the city center, and I’d like to share this unique spot with you. The bar is located on Calle de las Huertas, about a 10-minute walk from Puerta del Sol, making it easy to find.

Bar Atmosphere
As soon as you enter, you’re immersed in authentic Cuban ambiance, with Che Guevara posters and black-and-white photos of old Havana adorning the walls. The wooden bar has a vintage feel, and several old guitars hang from the ceiling. The overall lighting is dim, perfect for evening relaxation. On Friday and Saturday nights, live bands perform Latin music, creating an excellent atmosphere.
Drink Recommendations
Their signature drink is the mojito, made with Havana Club rum and generous amounts of fresh mint leaves—truly authentic. I also tried the Daiquiri and Piña Colada, both professionally mixed. If you don’t drink alcohol, they also offer various soft drinks and juices.
| Drink Name | Price | Rating |
| Mojito | 8€ | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ |

Practical Information
Opening hours are Monday to Thursday from 6 PM to 2 AM, extended to 3 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. I recommend going after 9 PM when the atmosphere is most lively. Prices are moderate for central Madrid, with cocktails ranging from 7 to 10 euros. They accept both cash and cards, though on busy weekends it’s best to arrive early, or you might need to wait for a table at this popular Madrid bar.
Personal Thoughts
Overall, this is a Madrid bar well worth visiting, especially for those who enjoy Latin music and cocktails. The staff are friendly, and while drinks may take a bit longer during peak times, it’s understandable given they’re freshly mixed. The only downside is that weekends get really crowded, so if you want a quiet conversation, I’d suggest going on weekdays instead of this Madrid bar and restaurant. Next time I plan to try their tequila selection, which I’ve heard is equally authentic. Has anyone else been? Feel free to share your experiences.
