Last month, I finally fulfilled a long-held dream by visiting the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. As a Real Madrid fan, this Leipzig vs Atlético Madrid experience truly exceeded my expectations, and I’d like to share some practical information and personal insights with everyone.
Ticket Purchase and Pricing
Tickets can be booked in advance through the Atlético Madrid official website or purchased on-site, though I recommend booking online ahead of time, especially during peak season or weekends. Adult tickets cost around €28, with discounted rates available for students and seniors, and even cheaper tickets for children under 14. Important note: The stadium is closed to visitors on match days, so be sure to check the schedule before planning your visit, particularly for events like Atlético Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund Champions League clash.
| Ticket Type | Price | Notes |
| Adult | €28 | Standard tour route |
| Student | €23 | Valid student ID required |
| Child | €18 | Ages 5-14 |
| Family Package | €75 | 2 adults + 2 children |
Tour Route Experience
The entire tour route is well-designed, starting from the museum, which displays all the trophies Real Madrid has won throughout its history. That row upon row of Champions League trophies is truly breathtaking - standing before those trophies, you can almost feel the club’s glorious legacy. The route then takes you through the players’ tunnel, locker room, press conference room, and finally to the stadium stands.

In the locker room area, you can see the players’ lockers. While it’s not accessible on match days, regular tours allow you to get up close to the players’ daily space. The press conference room lets visitors sit in the coach’s seat for photos - unfortunately, my photo angles weren’t great, but the experience was still quite special.
Practical Tips
I recommend setting aside 2-3 hours for the visit to fully appreciate everything. There’s a souvenir shop inside the stadium with slightly higher prices than the official stores downtown, but it offers a more complete selection. If you’re interested in buying jerseys, scarves, or other memorabilia, it’s worth comparing prices before deciding.
For transportation, taking Metro Line 10 to Santiago Bernabéu station is most convenient - the stadium is right at the exit. There are plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby, so you can explore the area after your tour and soak in Madrid’s football atmosphere. For any fan, this is absolutely a pilgrimage worth making.
