Budget-Friendly Long-Distance Bus Option
If your Madrid Valencia high-speed train budget is limited, the ALSA bus is a great choice. Departing from Valencia’s bus station with direct service to Madrid’s T4 terminal, the journey takes about 4 hours. Tickets are much cheaper, typically costing 15-25 euros. The downside is the longer travel time, and it depends on luck—if you encounter highway traffic, it can be quite troublesome. Driving is suitable when traveling with family or carrying lots of luggage. Remember to check your flight time in advance and arrive at the airport at least 3 hours early. Madrid Airport is quite large, and security queues can sometimes be lengthy.
