Recently visited several all-you-can-eat seafood restaurants in Valencia with friends and wanted to share our actual experiences. As a coastal city, Valencia indeed has abundant seafood resources, but the quality varies significantly among buffet restaurants.
Price Comparison
Let’s start with pricing - there’s a noticeable difference between weekdays and weekends. The restaurants I visited charge around 18-25 euros for weekday lunch, rising to 30-40 euros for weekend dinner. Here’s the price breakdown:
| Restaurant Name | Weekday Lunch | Weekend Dinner | Drinks Included |
| Mar y Tierra | €22 | €35 | Extra charge |
| El Buffet del Puerto | €19 | €32 | Soft drinks included |
| Marisquería La Ola | €25 | €38 | Extra charge |

Seafood Freshness
This is the most crucial aspect. Mar y Tierra’s shrimp and crab claws are genuinely fresh, though the oysters sometimes have a slightly fishy smell. El Buffet del Puerto, while cheaper, offers fewer seafood varieties, but their grilled fish is quite good. Marisquería La Ola has the highest prices, but the ingredient quality is consistently reliable, especially their red prawns and scallops.
It’s worth noting that if you go on weekends, arrive early, or good seats will be taken, and the Valencia seafood buffet seafood replenishment can’t keep up with demand. When I arrived at 7 PM last Saturday, the lobster was already gone, and we waited nearly 20 minutes for refills.
Ambiance and Service
El Buffet del Puerto is located near the port with nice views, but parking is tight. Mar y Tierra is downtown with convenient transportation, though it gets quite noisy on weekends due to crowds. Marisquería La Ola has the most upscale décor, suitable for family gatherings or business dinners, with more professional service staff.
Someone previously recommended the newly opened seafood buffet in the north of the city, I tried it once - mediocre ingredients, not really recommended. Overall, if you’re looking for Valencia paella seasoning value for money, El Buffet del Puerto is a solid choice; for a more refined experience, go with Marisquería La Ola; Mar y Tierra falls in the middle range, well-balanced across all aspects. If you have other Valencia paella restaurants to recommend, feel free to share your experiences.
