I recently spent two weeks staying by the beach in Valencia and wanted to share some practical accommodation experiences. As someone living here, I’ve noticed many friends visiting ask about beachfront lodging, so I’ve compiled some information about Valencia beachfront bars and Valencia beachfront apartments that I hope will be helpful.
Main Beach Area Accommodation Options
Valencia’s beach accommodation is primarily concentrated in two areas: Malvarrosa and Las Arenas. Malvarrosa is the most popular because it’s close to the city center, accessible via metro lines 4 and 5, taking about 15 minutes to reach downtown. This area offers everything from budget apartments to four-star hotels, with considerable price variations.

Price Ranges by Accommodation Type
Based on my observations during this period and feedback from friends, I’ve compiled an approximate price table:
| Accommodation Type | Low Season Price | High Season Price | Features |
| Hostel Bed | 15-25 | 25-40 | Suitable for solo backpackers |
| Private Apartment Room | 40-70 | 80-120 | Good value, includes kitchen |
| Three-Star Hotel | 60-90 | 100-150 | Standard service, breakfast included |
| Four-Star Sea View Hotel | 120-180 | 200-300 | Direct beach access, complete facilities |
These prices are for reference only, actual prices vary depending on specific location and booking time. July and August are the most expensive months, so if possible, I’d recommend avoiding this peak period.
Booking Recommendations and Important Notes
From practical experience, booking at least one month in advance is advisable, especially if you want a sea view room. Both Booking and Airbnb work well, but pay attention to reviews, particularly those from the last three months as they’re more relevant. Some apartments have beautiful photos, but the actual location might be quite far from Valencia beaches.
Another important point is that many accommodations don’t include parking. If you’re driving, you’ll need to pay extra. Public parking lots near the beach cost around 10-15 euros per day, and some hotels charge up to 20 euros for parking. Also, don’t be fooled by the term “sea view room” - some so-called sea view rooms only offer a tiny glimpse of the ocean, so it’s best to confirm clearly with the landlord or hotel.
Nearby Amenities and Convenience
Life around Malvarrosa is very convenient. The beachfront promenade has many restaurants and bars, with prices slightly higher than the city center but still reasonable. There are Consum and Mercadona supermarkets nearby, about a 10-minute walk away. If you’re staying in an apartment and want to cook for yourself, it’s very convenient. The beach has public showers and changing rooms, and lifeguards are on duty during summer.
Valencia beachfront accommodation offers plenty of choices - the key is selecting based on your budget and needs. If it’s your first visit, I recommend staying in the middle section of Malvarrosa, which is both convenient and lively. If you have other questions or want to know about specific accommodations, feel free to leave a comment below and I’ll try my best to help.
