Valencia Master’s Application Experience
This time last year, I was still anxious about my master’s application, and now I’ve been studying in Valencia for half a year. Seeing many friends in the forum asking about applications, I wanted to write down my experience, hoping it can help everyone.
Language Requirements
Valencia’s master’s programs have fairly clear language requirements. If you’re applying for Spanish-taught programs, you typically need DELE B2 or SIELE certification. For English-taught programs, IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 90 is generally sufficient. I applied for a business-related master’s and used my DELE B2 certificate. I recommend starting language exam preparation at least six months in advance.

Don’t take the apostille process lightly. A friend of mine nearly missed the application deadline because their apostilled documents were incomplete. I suggest starting this process two months in advance. In your home country, you can handle it through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or notary offices.
Application Timeline
Master’s applications at the University of Valencia are usually divided into several rounds. The first round is generally from January to March, and applying during this period gives you more options. I submitted my application in February and received my admission notice in early April. If you want to apply for scholarships, you must catch the first round, as scholarship spots are limited.
Special Reminder: Different programs may have different deadlines for University of Valencia master’s application, so I recommend checking the school’s official website directly or emailing the international office. The application systems for Polytechnic University of Valencia and University of Valencia are separate, so don’t mix them up.
Practical Tips
I encountered some pitfalls during the application process, so here are a few tips I’d like to share regarding Valencia master’s tuition fees. First, about the motivation letter, don’t make it too template-like. Try to combine your own experiences and future plans. I had a PhD student in Valencia help me revise mine, which made it much better.
Second, regarding program selection. Valencia’s tourism management, business, and engineering programs are all excellent, but competition is also fierce. If your undergraduate background doesn’t match perfectly, consider applying for programs with stronger relevance, which will increase your admission chances.
