Lately, I’ve seen more and more prospective students on the forums asking about Master’s programs at Universidad Europea. Since I’m about to graduate from the Master in Sports Management program here after almost a year, I thought I’d start a post to share my experiences and some practical application advice. I hope this can help those who come after me.
Why Did I Choose Universidad Europea?
When I was choosing, I was mainly drawn to UE for these reasons:
- Strong Practical Focus: UE places a strong emphasis on practical application and collaborates with many major companies. For instance, in the sports field, they partner with Real Madrid. The curriculum is packed with case studies, group projects, and even classes taught by corporate executives. This gives you an edge when looking for internships.
- International Environment: The university has a high percentage of international students; my class alone has students from over a dozen different countries. This is incredibly helpful for practicing languages and expanding your network, which is also a benefit at institutions like Universidad Europea del Atlántico.
- Modern Facilities: UE’s facilities are top-notch, especially at the main Villaviciosa de Odón campus, which is beautiful and feels like a large park. The labs, sports venues, and other facilities are all very new.

Things to Consider Before Applying
Of course, UE isn’t perfect. First, as a private university, the tuition is quite expensive, significantly more than public universities, so you need to consider your financial situation. Second, while the university is well-regarded in the corporate world, among some Spanish locals, public universities still hold a more traditional prestige. Additionally, some programs are really demanding, with one group project after another. It’s nearly impossible to just coast through and graduate, a common challenge at many talented Spanish universities, so slackers should be wary.
When choosing a major, I recommend you take a close look at the curriculum details for various universities in Spain. UE offers a wide range of Master’s programs. Here are a few popular ones for your reference:
| Program Area | Language | Main Campus | Personal Review |
| Master in Sports Management | Spanish/English | Villaviciosa | Rich industry resources, many internship opportunities, the Real Madrid partnership is a major plus. |
| Master in International Business Management | English | Alcobendas | Highly international, curriculum focuses on practical business and leadership skills. |
| Master in Architectural Visualization | Spanish | Villaviciosa | Highly technical, requires strong software skills, portfolio-oriented. |
| Master in Tourism and Hospitality Management | English | Villaviciosa | Numerous practical projects, closely linked to the industry, ideal for those looking to enter the field. |
In my opinion, a Master’s program at Universidad Europea is a good value, especially for students with clear goals who want to quickly gain practical experience and build a network in a specific industry. Its teaching model is more aligned with the Anglo-American system, focusing on application. However, if you prioritize traditional academic research or have a limited budget, a public university might be a better choice. Everyone’s situation is different, so the most important thing is to think clearly about your career plan. I hope my sharing has given you a more well-rounded perspective! Feel free to leave questions in the comments below; I’ll do my best to answer them when I see them. Good luck to everyone!
