I moved to Spain not long ago and was immediately amazed by the incredible range of skincare products in the pharmacies here! It’s a completely different world from the department store brands I was used to. Seeing so much buzz online, I did some research and jumped on the bandwagon to try some highly-rated products. So today, I’m starting this post to share my personal ranking of Spanish cosmeceutical skincare brands. This is all based on my own experience, and I’d love for you to add your thoughts and recommendations!
My Top-Picks List of Spanish Cosmeceutical Brands
My biggest takeaway since moving here is that the Spanish are seriously focused on ‘anti-aging’ and ‘skin repair.’ The sun is glorious, which also means photoaging is a major concern. That’s why local cosmeceutical brands are exceptionally good in these two areas.
No.1 Endocare - The Snail Repair Miracle
When it comes to skin repair, Endocare is the undisputed king. Their core technology is the SCA® Growth Factor Technology, derived from snail secretion. It might sound a bit strange, but the repairing effects are visibly powerful. My skin got a bit sensitive and red during the change of seasons, and after using their ampoules, my skin barrier felt much more stable. They are an absolute godsend for post-procedure recovery, like after chemical peels or laser treatments. However, their product line is a bit complex, with various concentrations of ampoules, so beginners might need to do a little research beforehand.

No.2 MartiDerm - The Pioneer of Vitamin C Ampoules
Speaking of ampoules, you have to mention MartiDerm. This brand is arguably the pioneer that popularized Vitamin C ampoules. I constantly repurchase their Photo-Age and Skin Complex+ ampoules. Used in the morning, their antioxidant and brightening effects are very noticeable; my face doesn’t get dull throughout the day. The texture is slightly rich, perhaps better for dry skin or for use during autumn and winter. Besides Vitamin C, they also have products with various acids and proteoglycans, targeting different skin problems with solutions as advanced as you’d find in Spanish healthcare.
No.3 Sesderma & ISDIN - The All-Rounders
I find it hard to choose between these two, so I’m ranking them together at number three! Sesderma’s specialty is its nanosomed delivery technology, which helps active ingredients penetrate deeper into the skin. Their Resveratrol serum and C-VIT line are famous, offering great antioxidant and brightening effects. As for ISDIN, many might be more familiar with it as one of the leading Spanish medical brands; their sunscreens are incredibly popular back in my home country. But beyond sunscreen, which is as essential as any Spanish medical equipment for sun protection, their ampoules and creams are also very impressive. They’re the kind of brand you choose when you’re in doubt and can’t go wrong. Here’s a quick comparison of a few products I’ve used:
| Brand | Star Product | Personal Thoughts |
| Endocare | SCA Repair Ampoules | Superb repairing power, a top choice for sensitive skin and post-procedure stability. |
| MartiDerm | Photo-Age Ampoules | A daytime antioxidant powerhouse, provides a significant brightening effect. |
| Sesderma | Resveratrol Serum | Great for nighttime repair; anti-aging effects require consistent use, has a nice skin feel. |
| ISDIN | Fusion Water Sunscreen | The gold standard for sunscreen. The old version tended to pill, but the new formula feels much better on the skin. |
Spanish cosmeceutical brands offer great value for money, with potent ingredients that deliver real results. Of course, skincare is highly personal—what works for one person may not work for another.
