Are you new to Spain or thinking of moving? Does the thought of house hunting feel overwhelming? Beyond the household names like Idealista and Fotocasa, there are many other great websites where you can find your dream home. Today, I’m sharing a rundown of some Spanish rental sites I’ve used or heard about, hoping to help you on your search.

Mainstream Rental Platforms
These two are arguably the ‘two giants’ of the Spanish rental market. They have the largest and most comprehensive listings, covering all types of properties and price ranges. For most people, the search begins on these two websites. Their apps are also well-designed, allowing you to set filters and receive new listing alerts, which is very convenient. The downside, however, is that because they are so popular, good listings disappear in a flash. The competition is fierce, and you might occasionally come across unreliable agents or fake listings, so you need to be vigilant.
Other Useful Websites and Apps
Beyond the top two, there are many other excellent platforms worth checking out, often with their own unique features. For example, Pisos.com is another long-standing property website. While its inventory might not be as extensive as the first two, you can sometimes find exclusive listings there. Additionally, if you’re looking for a flatshare, I highly recommend the Badi app. It’s more of a social rental platform where you can view profiles of potential flatmates and find people with similar interests to live with. It offers a great user experience for students and young people.
| Website/App | Key Features | Best for |
| Idealista | Largest inventory, fast updates | Everyone looking for a home |
| Fotocasa | Large inventory, user-friendly interface | Everyone looking for a home |
| Pisos.com | Comprehensive property portal | Finding additional listings |
| Badi | Focuses on flatshares, strong social component | Students, young professionals |
There’s also an unconventional approach: check out local second-hand marketplaces like Milanuncios or Wallapop. You can occasionally find listings posted directly by landlords, which has the advantage of potentially avoiding agency fees and having negotiable prices. However, the information on these platforms can be quite cluttered, requiring more time to sift through and verify good Spanish rental websites. Regardless of the platform you use, remember that renting is a small matter, renting is a big deal. Always inspect properties carefully, read the contract thoroughly before signing, and I wish you all the best in finding your ideal home!
