I just moved to Spain not long ago. Although the piso I’m renting isn’t huge, cleaning it is still quite a chore, especially with the endless hair and dust on the floor. I was thinking of getting a vacuum cleaner from Amazon, and after a quick look at the vacuum cleaner prices, I was shocked. The price range is so wide, from a few dozen euros to several hundred, it’s giving me analysis paralysis.
A Scan of Common Brand Prices
I spent an afternoon browsing Amazon.es, and it seems the main contenders fall into these categories:
The Premium Players: You can’t ignore Dyson. V8, V11, V15… so many models it’s hard to keep track. The pros are powerful suction and great design, but the con is obvious—it’s expensive! Any model starts at around four or five hundred euros, and the latest ones are prohibitively priced. While many say that once you use it, you can’t go back, the price tag really makes you think twice.
The Local Champion: The Spanish brand Cecotec seems very popular, and the reviews look good. Its Conga series has a ton of models, including stick vacuums and robot vacuums with mopping functions. The prices are much more budget-friendly, and you can get a model that looks feature-packed for just over a hundred euros. Has anyone used one? I’m curious about the actual performance and if they break easily.
The Value-for-Money Contenders: Xiaomi and Roborock, which are very popular in their home market, are also available on Amazon Spain. Their prices are in the mid-range, and their design and features seem to be on point. Their robot vacuums, in particular, feel smarter than many European brands. I saw a Roborock Q7 Max with an auto-empty dock that I’m a bit tempted by, but it’s also over 300 euros.

Price Comparison of a Few Popular Models
To make it more intuitive, I’ve put together a simple vacuum cleaner buying guide with reference prices for a few different types of vacuums I found on Amazon.
| Model | Type | Amazon Reference Price |
| Dyson V12 Detect Slim Absolute | Cordless Stick | 600€ |
| Cecotec Conga Rockstar 2500 | Cordless Stick | 150€ |
| Xiaomi Vacuum Cleaner G11 | Cordless Stick | 280€ |
| Roborock Q7 Max | Robot Vacuum & Mop | 360€ |
| iRobot Roomba 692 | Robot Vacuum | 200€ |
Honestly, I’m completely torn. Should I go all in and get a Dyson, or should I start with a Cecotec and see how it goes, maybe looking for some vacuum cleaners in Spain? Or maybe I should just free up my hands and get a robot vacuum? Does anyone have experience buying vacuums on Amazon? Have you seen any good deals, like during Prime Day or Black Friday? Do prices drop significantly then? I’d appreciate any advice from you all! Thanks a million
