Must-Visit Attractions in Torremolinos Guide
I just returned from Torremolinos, and this coastal town in Malaga province truly left an impressive mark! As an important part of the Costa del Sol, it not only boasts beautiful beaches but also preserves a rich atmosphere of traditional Spanish culture. I’d like to share some places I consider most worth visiting.
Carihuela Beach
Carihuela Beach is absolutely the signature attraction of Torremolinos. This 6-kilometer stretch of golden sand is divided into several different areas, each with its own character. The water is crystal clear and the sand is fine, perfect for sunbathing and swimming. Along the beach there are many chiringuitos where you can taste fresh seafood and traditional Andalusian cuisine.

Historic Old Town
Although the old town isn’t large, it’s full of Mediterranean charm. Narrow cobblestone streets, white-walled red-tiled houses, and balconies decorated with flowers - every corner is worth savoring. San Miguel Church is the landmark building here, built in the 14th century with exquisite baroque interior decorations. The square around the church often features street performers, creating a wonderful atmosphere.
| Attraction Name | Opening Hours | Ticket Price |
| San Miguel Church | 9:00-19:00 | Free |
| Old Town Square | Open 24/7 | Free |
| Traditional Market | 8:00-15:00 | Free |
Montemar Natural Park
If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the beach, Montemar Natural Park is a great choice. It features rich Mediterranean vegetation and you can spot some local wildlife. The park has several hiking trails of varying difficulty levels - not demanding on physical fitness actually requiring some stamina, so comfortable hiking shoes are recommended. From the summit, you can overlook the magnificent views of all Torremolinos and the Mediterranean Sea.
What impressed me most was encountering sunset here - golden sunlight spilling across the sea surface, with the Strait of Gibraltar faintly visible in the distance. That tranquility and beauty truly defies description. This is also a paradise for photography enthusiasts, where every casual shot feels like a masterpiece.
Overall, although Torremolinos isn’t large, the diversity of attractions well satisfies the needs of different visitors. Whether you want to enjoy sunny beaches, explore history and culture, or connect with nature, Torremolinos can provide you with a satisfying experience. I highly recommend everyone visit when you have the chance!
