Last weekend, I visited the restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid with friends and wanted to share the experience. The restaurant is located at 7 Calle de Sevilla, near the Prado Museum, which is an excellent location. We booked dinner three days in advance through their official website. I strongly recommend making reservations ahead of time if you’re planning to go on a weekend at Madrid hotels, as walk-in seating is virtually impossible.
Ambiance and Service
The restaurant features a modern minimalist design with excellent natural lighting. In the afternoon, sunlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows creates a particularly pleasant atmosphere. The waitstaff are formally dressed, professional yet approachable. Our server spoke both English and Spanish fluently, so communication was seamless. The overall atmosphere is well-suited for business dinners or special occasion gatherings.

Recommended Dishes
We ordered their signature Iberian ham platter and seafood paella. The ham quality was exceptional, melting in the mouth, paired with fresh bread. The paella was generous enough for two people, with fresh prawns and mussels. The rice absorbed the seafood flavors beautifully, with perfectly balanced seasoning. For the main course, we chose grilled sea bass, which was tender and flaky, accompanied by meticulously prepared roasted vegetables. For dessert, we tried the tiramisu and Basque cheesecake, both excellent with moderate sweetness.
Here’s a pricing reference from our evening:
| Dish | Price (€) |
| Iberian Ham Platter | 28 |
| Seafood Paella | 45 |
| Grilled Sea Bass | 32 |
| Tiramisu | 12 |
| Basque Cheesecake | 14 |
| Red Wine | 38 |
Practical Tips
Regarding dress code, while the restaurant doesn’t enforce strict requirements, I’d suggest dressing slightly formal—jeans with a dress shirt would be appropriate. If you’re celebrating an anniversary, inform the restaurant in advance and they’ll arrange some pleasant surprises. The hotel has underground parking, though it’s quite expensive. I’d recommend taking a taxi or metro instead—the nearest station is Sevilla.
This dining experience at NH Hotel Madrid was quite satisfying. While prices are on the higher side, the food quality and service level justify the cost. If you’re looking for a place in Madrid with excellent ambiance and refined cuisine for entertaining clients or a romantic date, as featured in Madrid hotel rankings, the Four Seasons restaurant is an excellent choice. However, if you’re on a tighter budget, there are many more affordable options throughout the city.
