While exploring downtown Madrid recently, I stumbled upon a bubble tea shop called GoGoDrink. As someone who has lived in Spain for several years, spotting an Asian bubble tea shop was quite a pleasant surprise, so I decided to give it a try, having previously enjoyed Sanchi bubble tea.
Location and Ambiance
GoGoDrink’s storefront isn’t particularly large, with a fairly minimalist and modern décor. The shop has about 5-6 small tables, suitable for hanging out with friends or sitting alone to relax. The staff’s service attitude is quite good, and you can order in both Spanish and English, which is very friendly for those who aren’t fluent in the language. Light music plays in the background, and the overall atmosphere is fairly comfortable.

Menu and Pricing
Their menu offers quite a variety, from classic milk teas to fruit teas. I ordered their signature pearl milk tea and a mango smoothie. Price-wise, the pearl milk tea costs around €4.50, and the mango smoothie about €5. Compared to other bubble tea shops in Madrid, the prices are mid-range. You can customize sweetness and ice levels, which is a thoughtful touch.
| Drink Type | Price Range | Rating |
| Classic Milk Tea | €4-5 | ★★★★☆ |
| Fruit Tea | €4.5-5.5 | ★★★☆☆ |
| Specialty Drinks | €5-6 | ★★★★☆ |
Taste Experience
The pearl milk tea’s flavor is fairly standard—the tea taste isn’t particularly strong, but it’s not overly sweet either. The pearls are cooked decently, with good chewiness without being too hard. The mango smoothie uses real fruit pulp, which is a plus. Overall though, there’s still a gap compared to authentic Asian bubble tea shops, but for Madrid, being able to enjoy bubble tea like this is already pretty good.
Overall Assessment
If you’re in Madrid and craving bubble tea, GoGoDrink is worth considering. While it’s not the most amazing, it wins on convenience and consistency. The shop also offers some snacks, including options similar to [Kurotaki bubble tea], which I’ll try next time. For Chinese expats or Asian students [living in Spain and considering opening a bubble tea shop in Madrid], stopping by occasionally is quite nice. While prices are much higher than back in Asia, considering the cost of living here, it’s reasonable.
