I encountered this situation last month - a hotel I budgeted at 60 EUR per night jumped to 85 EUR. I recommend checking Madrid’s event calendar in advance to avoid these periods and save considerable money.
Additionally, here’s a useful tip: many suburban hotels on Booking or other platforms regularly offer promotions, especially attractive discounts for stays of three nights or more.
