Last month, I needed to stay overnight in Málaga due to a connecting flight and chose the Campanile Málaga Airport Hotel. As someone who frequently travels across Europe, my requirements for airport hotels are quite simple: clean, convenient, and reasonably priced. This stay at Málaga hotel apartments was overall satisfactory, and I’d like to share my experience for your reference.
Location and Transportation
The hotel’s location is indeed very convenient, about a 10-minute walk from the terminal. If you have a lot of luggage, taxis are available at the entrance for around 5 euros. The hotel offers a free airport shuttle service, though with limited schedules, so I recommend checking the times in advance. The surrounding area is quite peaceful, and you won’t be disturbed by aircraft noise at night, which was a pleasant surprise.

Room Facilities
The rooms are medium-sized, approximately 20 square meters. Facilities are basic but include everything you need: a comfortable bed, private bathroom, air conditioning, TV, and free WiFi. WiFi speed is decent, sufficient for browsing and streaming videos. The only minor drawback is that the bathroom looks a bit dated, though it’s kept very clean. Soundproofing is good, with hallway noise barely audible.
Here’s a comparison of room types and prices:
| Room Type | Price Range | Suitable For |
| Standard Single | €60-80 | 1 person |
| Standard Double | €75-95 | 2 people |
| Family Room | €100-130 | 3-4 people |
Breakfast and Service
Breakfast is buffet-style, and while the variety isn’t particularly extensive, it covers the basics: bread, jam, cereal, fruit, and coffee. Hot options include scrambled eggs and bacon, with standard taste. Front desk staff are friendly, English communication is no problem, and check-out is efficient.
Overall Assessment
As an airport hotel, the Campanile Málaga Airport Hotel fully meets the needs of transit passengers or short stays. Not suitable as accommodation for sightseeing, as it’s quite a distance from the city center. However, if you’re looking for a clean and comfortable place to rest, like the Vincci Hotel, the value for money here is quite good. I recommend comparing prices across multiple platforms when booking, as you can sometimes find excellent deals.
One final reminder: there are no restaurants or supermarkets nearby, so if you don’t want to eat at the hotel, it’s best to prepare some food in advance. Overall, I was satisfied with this stay, and if I have similar needs in the future, I would consider staying here again at the Málaga Picasso Hotel.
