Just returned from the Alicante fashion show last weekend, and I absolutely must share the incredible experience with you all. As a fashion enthusiast who has lived in Spain for many years, this show truly left a lasting impression on me—from the venue setup to the runway presentations, everything was infused with Mediterranean charm.
Venue Atmosphere and Setup
This Annie Alicante Fashion Show was held at a modern art center near Alicante’s port, and the entire venue design was exceptionally creative. The runway featured transparent glass material, complemented by blue lighting to create an oceanic ambiance. The seating area accommodated approximately 300 people, and I had to book a month in advance to secure a spot. The music was fantastic too, blending flamenco with electronic music elements.

Designer Collection Showcase
The participating designers hailed from Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona, and other regions, each bringing unique creations. What impressed me most was a young designer’s collection that merged traditional Spanish embroidery craftsmanship with modern tailoring, featuring bold yet elegant color applications. The fabric selection was also meticulous, extensively using linen and cotton materials perfectly suited to the Mediterranean climate.
| Designer | Collection Theme | Signature Elements |
| María González | Ocean Dreams | Blue-white stripes, shell decorations |
| Carlos Ruiz | Urban Nomad | Neutral cuts, earth tones |
| Elena Torres | Traditional Revival | Embroidery craftsmanship, fringe details |
| Pablo Martín | Minimalism | Solid colors, architectural feel |
Personal Favorite Pieces
Speaking of my most beloved pieces, first is that hand-embroidered white dress, whose hem design evokes Mediterranean waves. There’s also a beige suit ensemble with an exceptional fit, suitable for both casual wear and formal occasions. Regarding accessories, designers incorporated numerous natural materials like wood, ceramic, and rattan weaving, this return-to-nature philosophy aligns perfectly with current environmental trends.
Purchase Channels and Pricing
After the show, there was a small exhibition sale where some pieces could be directly ordered. Pricing was more reasonable than I anticipated—a regular top ranges from 80 to 150 euros, while dresses cost between 200 and 400 euros. If you missed the on-site purchase, these designers all have official Instagram accounts where you can contact them via direct message for custom orders. Additionally, several boutiques in downtown Alicante will gradually stock these collections.
This fashion show demonstrated the talent and creativity of Spanish local designers. If you’re also interested in fashion, I recommend following Alicante’s biannual spring and autumn fashion week events. Tickets aren’t cheap but they’re absolutely worth it—you can experience the fashion industry’s allure up close and meet many like-minded friends. Looking forward to next year’s autumn/winter collection bringing even more surprises!
