I finally completed the main questlines for Calpheon and Media, and now I’m starting to enter the Valencia region. However, to be honest, this desert area is much more complex than I imagined. I’d like to ask some questions from veteran players.
First, regarding Valencia’s main questline. My character is currently level 56, with around 150 attack power and just over 200 defense. I saw online guides mentioning that Valencia property the Valencia main quest offers substantial experience and rewards, but when I checked Valencia entrance I ran around the desert for quite a while and found the quest line somewhat confusing. Some quests from NPCs feel like side quests, while others seem to be part of the main storyline. I’d like to ask, where should I start the Valencia main questline? Should I go directly to Valencia City, or first complete quests at several outposts on the desert edge?

Equipment and Leveling Location Selection
Another question concerns equipment. I’m currently using +15 green gear, with a +15 Liberto weapon. Many people say that monsters in the Valencia region are quite tough. Will my current setup struggle too much for leveling there? Especially against elite monsters and bosses, it feels like I can’t deal enough damage. Should I enhance my equipment to TRI first before going there, or can my current configuration handle it?
Regarding leveling locations, I’ve found several options:
| Location | Recommended Level | Features |
| Naga Camp | 56-58 | Dense monsters, decent experience |
| Fogans Camp | 57-59 | Better drops, but stronger monsters |
| Desert Prison | 58-60 | High experience, requires party |
Desert Survival Tips
There’s also the survival issue in the desert. I’ve already gotten lost in the desert several times, and that desert sickness debuff from Valencia Black Desert is really annoying. How do you all deal with this? Do you buy purified water from the desert merchant, or is there a more economical method? Also, are those hidden elements in the desert, like ancient ruins, worth specifically exploring?
Lastly, I’d like to ask about Valencia’s reputation system. I heard you need to grind reputation to access some hidden quests and purchase special items, but grinding reputation seems really tedious. Are there any efficient methods for grinding reputation? Or which reputations are essential to grind, and which can be temporarily ignored?
I hope experienced players can offer some advice. Thanks everyone!
