Valencia Entrance Location Guide
Recently, I spent quite a bit of time searching for the Valencia entrance in-game and took several wrong turns. Today, I finally figured out the exact location and entry method, so I’m sharing this to help fellow players who might be equally lost. Valencia, as a crucial desert region in Black Desert, is an essential destination for players looking to experience desert adventures and high-level dungeons.
Basic Entrance Information
The main entrance to the Valencia region is located at the northern border of Media, specifically heading southeast from Altinova. If you’ve completed the Media main questline, the map will automatically display road markers leading to Valencia. For those interested in Valencia real estate, it’s recommended to reach at least level 56 before attempting entry, as desert area monsters are generally high-level.

Prerequisite Quest Requirements
Before entering Valencia, you need to complete several key quests. Here’s a simple quest flow table:
| Quest Name | Quest Location | Completion Requirements |
| Road to the Desert | Altinova | Level 56+ |
| Desert Caravan Escort | Media Border | Defeat 30 Desert Bandits |
| Valencia’s Invitation | Border Outpost | Dialogue with NPC |
After completing these quests, you’ll receive a Desert Pass, which is essential for entering Valencia City. Some players claim you can climb over walls to get in, but doing so means missing out on important storylines and rewards.
Recommended Route
Starting from Altinova, the safest route is to follow the main road heading southeast. Along the way, you’ll pass several small camps where you can resupply. Desert temperatures fluctuate significantly, so remember to prepare enough purified water and emergency tents. On horseback, it takes approximately 15-20 minutes to reach the outskirts of Valencia City.
Important Notes
Once you enter the desert, map functionality becomes limited and compasses become ineffective—this is a special game mechanic. It’s advisable to prepare constellation guide items in your inventory beforehand or travel with other players’ groups. For more detailed information, check out this Valencia guide. Additionally, during desert sandstorms, visibility becomes severely reduced, so it’s best to wait for storms to pass before continuing.
I hope this information helps those preparing to venture into Valencia. If you have any questions about Valencia Black Desert, feel free to leave comments below for discussion. Enjoy the game and may you soon explore the entire desert region!
