I moved into Hume Apartments in Valencia last September and have been living here for over half a year now. Since I often see people asking about this apartment complex on forums, I thought I’d share my actual experience as a reference for everyone.
Location and Transportation
Hume Apartments is located in the Ruzafa district, which I personally really enjoy. It’s about an 8-minute walk to the nearest metro station, Bailén, making it very convenient to get to the city center. There’s a Mercadona supermarket right downstairs, so you never have to worry about buying daily necessities. There are also plenty of restaurants and cafés around, especially that tapas bar on the corner that I visit almost every week. The only issue is that it can get quite noisy on weekend nights due to the many nearby bars, so those sensitive to noise should take this into consideration.

Apartment Types and Facilities Comparison
I’m renting a one-bedroom, while my friend has a studio. Here’s a quick comparison:
| Type | Size | Monthly Rent | Pros and Cons |
| Studio | 35㎡ | 750€ | Compact but sufficient, suitable for one person |
| One-bedroom | 55㎡ | 950€ | Separate bedroom, more spacious living room |
| Two-bedroom | 75㎡ | 1300€ | Can share rent, good value for money |
The apartment design itself is fairly reasonable, with a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher and oven. However, be aware that the soundproofing is really just average - you can clearly hear footsteps from upstairs. The air conditioning works well for cooling; it performed fine during last summer.
Property Management and Maintenance
Property management response time is mediocre at best. When my water heater broke previously, someone only came to fix it on the third day after I reported it, which was a bit slow. Common areas are kept reasonably clean, and the elevator occasionally malfunctions, but it’s usually fixed the same day. Property management fees are already included in the rent, so you don’t need to pay separately, which is quite convenient.
Regarding value for money, I think if your budget is around 900-1000 euros and you want to live in a vibrant area like Ruzafa, Hume Apartments is a decent choice considering Valencia apartment prices. However, if you have particularly high requirements for a quiet environment or want more modern facilities when looking at Valencia apartments, you might need to explore other options.
This place, like Candela Extraordinary Apartments, is suitable for young people or tenants who don’t mind the lively downtown atmosphere. I’m personally quite satisfied living here and have no plans to move at the moment. Feel free to ask specific questions in the thread, and I’ll try my best to answer.
