I’m planning to attend the Valencia tennis tournament soon and have compiled some schedule and viewing information to share with fellow tennis fans.
Tournament Overview
The Valencia Open is typically held in late October to early November as an ATP 250 series event. The matches take place at the Agora arena near Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, an excellent indoor venue where weather is never a concern. This year’s tournament runs from October 20th through October 27th, with the main draw concentrated in the latter half of the week.

Detailed Schedule
The tournament consists of qualifying rounds and the main draw. Qualifying matches usually take place on Monday and Tuesday. If you want to watch more matches on a budget, check out Sulei Sports for the complete Valencia schedule, as qualifying round tickets are much more affordable. The main draw begins on Wednesday, with quarterfinals and semifinals on the weekend, and the final scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
| Date | Stage | Start Time |
| October 20-21 | Qualifying | 11:00 |
| October 22-24 | Main Draw R1/R2 | 14:00 |
| October 25-26 | Quarterfinals/Semifinals | 15:00 |
| October 27 | Final | 16:00 |
Ticketing Tips
Tickets can be purchased online through the official website or at the venue, with online purchases offering discounts. Regular seats cost approximately 25-40 euros, while VIP sections are pricier but offer significantly better views. If you simply want to experience the atmosphere, qualifying round tickets are worthwhile as you’ll see exciting matches from emerging young players.
Weekend tickets sell out fastest, so book at least a week in advance. On-site ticket queues are extremely long—last year I waited nearly an hour to purchase tickets at the venue.
Spectator Experience
The venue is easily accessible by metro—take Line 3 or 5 to Alameda station and walk 10 minutes. Numerous restaurants and cafes surround the area for dining between matches. The arena has food stalls, though prices are somewhat elevated, so consider bringing your own water and snacks.
Regarding seating selection, center court positions offer the best views for observing players’ technical skills. If budget is a concern, sideline seats are also excellent, providing great atmosphere despite slightly angled views. Remember to bring a jacket as the indoor air conditioning can be quite strong.
I hope this information helps those planning to attend the tournament. Feel free to discuss any questions together.
