Last month I traveled to Zaragoza on business and booked this Swiss Hotel for three nights. I had seen decent reviews online beforehand, and the actual experience did reveal some highlights regarding Zaragoza hotel rooms, as well as a few points worth noting. Let me share my thoughts with you.
Location and Transportation
The hotel’s location is quite excellent, approximately a ten-minute walk from Plaza del Pilar. There are several supermarkets and restaurants nearby, making daily life very convenient. A taxi from the train station costs around ten euros, or you can take the bus if you’re not in a hurry. There’s a bus stop right downstairs, making it easy to reach the old town or commercial areas. The only minor issue is that parking nearby is rather limited, so if you’re driving, I recommend booking the hotel’s parking space in advance.

Room Facilities and Comfort
I booked a standard double room, approximately 25 square meters with a well-designed layout. The mattress was quite comfortable to sleep on, and the pillows had just the right firmness. The bathroom features a dry-wet separation design with stable hot water supply. The air conditioning cooling effect is also good, so it should be very comfortable if you visit in summer. The soundproofing is average - you can hear footsteps in the hallway, so those sensitive to noise might want to bring earplugs.
| Facility Item | Rating | Notes |
| Bedding Comfort | 4.5 | Very comfortable mattress |
| Bathroom Facilities | 4.0 | Clean and tidy |
| Soundproofing | 3.0 | Slightly insufficient |
| WiFi | 4.5 | Stable speed |
| Air Conditioning | 4.0 | Good cooling |
Service and Breakfast
The front desk staff were quite friendly and could communicate in both English and Spanish. Check-in and check-out were swift with no issues encountered. Breakfast is buffet-style with a reasonably diverse selection including bread, ham, cheese, fruit, coffee, and more. I had expected more hot food options considering the Zaragoza hotel prices, but for this price point it’s already quite good. Breakfast is served from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM, which provides ample time.
Value for Money Analysis
Three nights cost approximately 280 euros total, averaging less than 100 euros per night. Considering the location and overall facilities, I think the value for money is quite high. It’s considerably cheaper than those boutique hotels in the old town, yet the service and facilities aren’t much different. If you’re on a business trip or short-term tourism, this hotel is a solid choice.
Overall, the Zaragoza Swiss Hotel is a standard three-star hotel. Conveniently located, reasonably priced, and well-equipped, while it doesn’t have any particularly outstanding features, it also has no obvious shortcomings. If you need accommodation when visiting Zaragoza, you might consider checking out the Alfonso Hotel in Zaragoza or this one. Feel free to leave comments below if you have any questions.
