Zaragoza’s climate is honestly quite extreme - summers can reach 40 degrees Celsius, while winters are bitterly cold. Tenerife is completely different, with a perpetual spring-like feel, temperatures typically ranging between 20-28 degrees. However, Zaragoza has a faster pace of life, being the capital of the Aragon region with more commercial activity and relatively more job opportunities. As you can see from the table, living costs in Tenerife are indeed higher, especially rent particularly rent in tourist areas. Employment and Development Opportunities
Zaragoza clearly has the advantage here. Jobs in Tenerife are mainly concentrated in tourism and service sectors - if you’re not in these industries, your options will be much more limited. Culture and Social Life
Zaragoza has the Pilar Festival, where the entire city celebrates every October with an amazing atmosphere. The tapas culture is also very strong here, with the El Tubo area full of small bars. Tenerife’s carnival is Spain’s second-largest carnival, second only to another Canary Island, with truly spectacular scenes. Beach culture is also a Tenerife specialty, with everyone heading to the coast on weekends.
Personal Recommendation
