I just received my Spanish student visa and want to share the questions I encountered during the interview process and some helpful tips. I hope this can assist friends who are currently preparing their applications.
Basic Information Questions
Interviewers usually start with some basic questions to understand your background. The most common ones include: why you chose to study in Spain, your chosen major and university, study plans, etc. I recommend everyone prepare concise and clear answers in advance, don’t make them too complicated. I was able to answer fluently because I prepared well.

Study Plan Related Questions
Interviewers will inquire in detail about your study arrangements, such as course structure, learning objectives, and post-graduation plans. This section should demonstrate your understanding of the major and clear planning. For those concerned about student visa rejection, it’s crucial to show preparation. Additionally, understanding the student visa renewal process can demonstrate long-term planning. Remember to answer honestly and never fabricate false information.
| Question Type | Key Points for Answers |
| Major Selection | Combine personal interests with career planning |
| University Choice | Mention school advantages and compatibility |
| Study Plan | Specific and reasonable time arrangements |
Financial Capability Proof
This is a key assessment area, and understanding TIE appointment procedures is also important for future planning. Interviewers will ask about tuition and living expense sources, family financial situation, etc. You must prepare relevant financial proof documents, including bank statements, deposit certificates, parental income proof, etc. I recommend everyone start preparing these materials several months in advance.
Language Ability Assessment
If you’re applying for Spanish-taught programs, interviewers might communicate with you in simple Spanish. Don’t be too nervous; basic self-introduction and daily conversation are sufficient. My Spanish level was mediocre at the time, but with a sincere attitude, the interviewer was quite understanding.
Finally, I remind everyone to maintain confidence and honesty during the interview, dress appropriately, and arrive at the interview location early. The more thorough your preparation, the higher your success rate. I wish all applicants can successfully obtain their visas!
